Telstra's 4G USB modem is a 4G ultrafast LTE and 3G modem. Bigpond claims typical download speeds of between 2 Mbps and 40 Mbps. Typical uplink speeds of between 1 Mbps to 10Mbps. The USB 4G modem operates on LTE bands: 1800 MHz as well as Next G UMTS bands of 850M Hz and 2100 MHz.
The Telstra USB 4G is a dual mode device that operates on 3G and 4G technology, providing the benefits of 4G where it is available and 3G speeds outside of 4G coverage areas. Using the connection manager you can check to see if you are in a 4G or 3G coverage area.
