The new Telstra Elite Mobile Broadband Card, the AC503, is the fastest wireless broadband device of its type in Australia. The convenience of the express card format, also helps keep USB slots free and allows users to keep their modem stowed in their laptops at all times.
The Telstra Elite Mobile Broadband Card provides download speeds of up to 8Mbps in capital cities and selected regional areas, and is up to twice as fast as Telstra's previous generation express card, the AC880E. Next G coverage depends on factors such as your location, and whether your device has an external antenna attached.
The Elite Mobile Broadband Card is Telstra's first mobile broadband device that is able to connect to four different 3G network bands worldwide. This has advantages for business people travelling overseas as they will have more connectivity options when using the device on mobile networks overseas. The Elite Mobile Broadband Card can connect to most common 3G network bands worldwide: 850, 900, 1900 and 2100MHz. It can also connect to 2G and 2G EDGE networks operating on the 850, 900, 1800 and 1900MHz bands meaning you will be able to utilise international roaming in more places around the world.
This card is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Apple Mac OS X 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6 systems.

The Telstra Elite Mobile Broadband Card can be purchased with one of Telstra's new business data pack plans, including for $0 upfront when connecting with a $69 monthly data pack (or higher) on a 24 month contract. The card can also be purchased outright for a recommended retail price of $399 at launch.
