The HTC Snap features a thin profile with a stylish matte black finish and a QWERTY keyboard. The Snap utilizes trackball navigation so it's an alternate choice to a touch-screen smartphone. With life speeding up and with you having more to organise and less time to do it in, HTC's Inner Circle helps you prioritise the people who matter most to you. Inner circle does this by keeping you connected to your inner circle of friends. With the touch of a button, e-mails from your "inner circle" rise to the top for quick access and streamlined communication.
You add your favourite contacts to your inner circle and when you receive emails from them they are collected in both the main email message list and a separate inner circle list of messages. Inner circle even has its own dedicated keyboard shortcut, giving you one-touch access to these emails.
The Snap comes packed with a 528MHz processor steps through everyday tasks relatively smoothly. The Snap has HSDPA, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth V 2.0 with the A2DP profile, and a built-in GPS receiver.
The phone charges via a combined USB port on the side, which doubles as the headphone input, and HTC has included a USB cable that plugs into a wall charger adapter.
As the Snap utilises Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system, included is the Office Mobile suite of Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications. Configuring for use with Microsoft Exchange is easy, and you can also use standard POP3 and IMAP e-mail accounts. You can update your calendar, manage your contacts and emails and stay organised Win Mob. Even texting is fast with the friendly QWERTY keyboard.
The Snap's long Battery life so you can talk longer provides up to 300 minutes talk time according to the manufacturer. A 2.0 megapixel colour camera with fixed focus, MP3 Player and access to the Bigpond free to browse portal round out the features of this handy smartphone.
