Sony Naite: A bar-shaped mobile with an eco-conscience that's available in silver colour. The Sony Ericsson Naite is one handset that is part of Sony Ericsson's GreenHeart initiative. The materials used to produce the Naite are made from 50% recycled plastics. The company promises to use at least 50 per cent recycled materials in the casings, and the Naite looks identical in build and quality to previous Sony Ericsson mobile handsets.
The phone's packaging continues the green theme: the retail box is manufactured from recycled cardboard. Also the Naite comes with an electronic user guide on the phone, is no paper user manual included, again this is part of Sony Ericsson's GreenHeart initiative. The paper booklets that do come with the Naite are printed on recycled paper which helps the environment.
The Naite comes with a mobile phone charger that is designed consumes less power and is designed to use less energy if left plugged into a power source without the phone connected. Again this leads to lesser carbon emissions and a healthier environment.
The Naite's navigation, menus and keyboard layout are intuitive and similar to other previous models of Sony Ericsson handsets, which means users upgrading from previous Sony Ericsson models will feel more comfortable adapting to their new handset.
Battery life is good, at 4.5 hours talk-time as quoted by Sony Ericsson. On the back side of the phone is a 2-megapixel camera. For the multi media, the Naite supports MP3, AAC and WMA audio files and MP4 and WMV video files. The Naite has just 100MB of internal memory, but a microSD card slot is located under the rear battery cover. Also feratured is TrackID integration to download music via BigPond Music at HSDPA hig speed download speeds.
The Naite features Telstra's 'TelstraOne Experience' which allows customers to set up one-click, access to the applications and services they regularly use. This then gives you the ability to communicate the way you want to. You can stay in touch with e-mail, text messages or quick snap and send a picture.
