Telstra has confirmed that the telco will offer both the iPad mini and the fourth generation iPad. These new iPads will be sold with a range data plans so Telstra customers will be able to utilise Telstra’s 4G LTE, HSPA+ and DC-HSDPA Next G network.
Currently Telstra’s 4G network covers approximately 40% of the population. And Telstra 4G network expansion plans to achieve 66% population coverage by mid 2013.
Since the launch of Telstra’s 4G LTE service last September, the telco’s customers have embraced 4G technology and today more than half a million 4G devices are being used for internet browsing video and music streaming as well as enjoying rich internet content traditionally reserved for desktop PCs.
