Optus 4G Prepaid Mobile Broadband

Opus has launched 4G Prepaid Mobile Broadband. There are two Optus 4G prepaid modem options, the USB Starter Kit which costs $169 and includes 6GB for 60 data while the Wifi Modem is $199 with 10GB for 60 days.

Optus’ prepaid 4G and 3G wireless broadband recharges amounts and rates are as follows:

$10 for 300MB, $30 for 1GB, $40 for 3GB, $50 for 4GB, $80 for 8GB, $130 for 15GB.

Currently however if you are recharging online you will receive an extra 15% of  data as an online bonus. Optus usage is calculated or counted in kilobyte increments and includes uploads and downloads.  When you are outside of Optus 4G coverage areas the 4G modems will connect to the Optus 3G Dual Band 900/2100mhz Network or to the 900/1800mhz 2G/gprs/Edge network.

To have Optus 4G you need a compatible device and you need to be in an Optus 4G coverage area, outside of these areas the 4G modems will provide 3G coverage.

As stated above currently Optus Prepaid Mobile Broadband provides 15% Bonus Data Allowance. All you need do is topurchase an Optus recharge voucher via credit card online at optus.com.au/recharge to receive an additional 15% bonus data allowance.

Optus E589 4G Mini WiFi Modem Starter Kit $199.00 Kit Includes:

The E589 Optus 4G Mini Wifi Modem, SIM Card, 10GB data for use within Australia, valid for 60 days. The E589 W4G WiFi modem is Optus 3G & 4G Network compatible, has a battery life up to 6 hours. You can connect up to 10 devices at once. This modem uses WiFi 802.11 b/g/n.
