Telstra Prepaid 4G USB Modem (ZTE MF821 Discontinuation

The Telstra Prepaid 4G USB Modem (ZTE MF821) was introduced in early 2012 and discontinued by Telstra around 2014. It is no longer sold through official channels and is considered obsolete on current high-speed networks.

Network compatibility: The MF821 is a Category 3 LTE device supporting limited frequency bands (1800/2100 MHz for 4G) and 3G bands (850/2100 MHz). As Telstra has repurposed spectrum and modernized its infrastructure, this device experiences reduced performance, coverage gaps, or complete loss of connectivity, particularly now that the 3G network has been shut down. The device was succeeded by newer hardware such as the MF823.
