6 Plus: Go One Bigger And One Better
What do we want? More screen space! When do we want it? Now!
Need more screen size but don't want to lug around a tablet everywhere? You might just want to check out this mobile.
If you're a bit of a screen hog and love doing lots of web surfing, email checking, video watching and business work then you'll need a phone with a larger screen to get the job done.
Sitting at around the same size as a Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, this smartphone is the first serious Apple contender in the world of phablets (that's a phone/tablet hybrid if you haven't heard). With fast processing and a fantastic battery life, it's not just a big screen.
Featuring all the things you know and love about Apple products, you can read on to find out more about this handset below.
Size: 7.78cm width x 15.81cm length x 0.71cm thickness. This is about half a cm larger than your regular old iPhone 6, except for in thickness.
Weight: 172 grams. That's almost 50g heavier than the 6.
Screen: 13.97 cm diagonal Retina HD display - the Retina HD display gives an extremely clear image. Screen resolution is 1920 by 1080 pixels (which is a standard computer resolution) with 401 ppi. It has a 1300:1 contrast ratio.
Colours: Silver, Gold, Space Gray.
Memory Capacity: 16GB, 64GB, 128GB.
Inside: The A8 chip with 64 bit architecture along with the M8 motion coprocessor. Made by Apple, these processors are lightening quick.

Along with your new handset you'll also want to sort out of all the bits and pieces you'll need to go with it. You'll need to protect your phone from knocks, drops and scratches, have battery power always available when you need it, and a hands-free solution should you need it. You might also like to think about getting a new speaker system for your iPhone 6 Plus - if you are upgrading from the iPhone 4S, the port will be different from the one you're used to. Unless you have lightning connector piece, any speakers or docks you have for your older phone won't be able to be used.
Don't go without getting yourself a good quality cover or case to go with your new device. You'll need to look after it! There is a plethora of cases available, so you'll want to decide whether you want something that looks cool, something that's hard-wearing, or a combination of the two.
SwitchEasy Wrap Cases: If you like a leather look flip out style case, you might want to go with a SwitchEasy Wrap Case. Made of PU, it also flips out to a standing horizontal position for your phone, which makes watching movies on it easy and hands free.
OtterBox Cases: With a wide variety of designs, OtterBox cases have something for everyone. Featuring designs such as the Symmetry and the Defender, they're made to withstand some heavy treatment.
LifeProof Cases: These cases do exactly what they say, they're lifeproof. That's shock proof, dirt proof, snow proof and shock proof. They come in two flavours - Fre (with a screen protector included) and Nud (which encases the rest of your phone but leaves the screen as is).
There are two main options you have when purchasing a screen protector (make sure there's not one included in the design of your case). There is the plastic screen protector, made to withstand general scratches and scapes. Then there is the tempered glass screen protector which can provide resistance to more aggressive scratches - it's up to 3 times tougher than glass.
Inevitably, you'll need a second (or third) charger for around the house. Make sure you pick up one that's MFI certified to ensure it's up to Apple standards. Generally, getting a charger with a higher amplitude makes for a faster charge too.
How about power on the go? A powerbank is a handy phone charger that you plug into the wall to charge, then slip into your pocket (or backpack) for when you're low on phone juice while out and about. You can find powerbanks than can charge your phone multiple times over, which is particularly handy on camping or long distance trips.
The other on the go charger is the car charger. Handy if you make long trips, you can plug your phone in to charge while your kids watch HD video on your mobile in the back.
The hands free solution to GPS navigation with your 6 Plus. These devices can charge your phone and enhance its signal too. Pair it with a Bluetooth headset if you're not a fan of speakerphone.
Connect via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth headset for hands free chatting on the go. Useful when you need to chat but are doing other things too - phone call while cooking dinner? Too easy.
