The Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S is an update of the Xperia Arc and has a faster processor, more storage, and a 3D camera borrowed from Sony’s Cybershot cameras.
The 8 megapixel camera is good in still and 720p shooting modes. The camera is also 3D capable, having an inbuilt panoramic 3D camera app.
The Arc S gives snappy performance with the operating system being intuitive and easy to use. The screen is 4.2 inches, has a 480 x 854 resolution and is a capacitive touchscreen LCD. The screen is backlit by LED and uses by Sony Ericsson’s Bravia video engine for vibrant, detailed colour reproduction.
The CPU is a faster version of the chip found in the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo with 1.4GHz with processing power, the Arc S has 512MB of RAM. The Arc S runs Android’s 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system and also utilises Sony’s Timescape overlay.
Connectivity wise the Arc S has the following features: GPS, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP.
