Telstra Easycall 2

Telstra’s Easycall 2, also known as the ZTE T203, is an ideal basic phone for elderly people and folks who just want a mobile basic phone for phone calls and smsing. This mobile phone is simple and easy to use with very basic menus.

The Telstra Easy Call 2 has big buttons and large number display for easy dialling. The Easycall 2 has a programmable switch key on the back that when activated will send an SMS to five numbers and calls one number. This is a easy to use, simple mobile phone.

One feature the Easycall 2 has that would very handy in an emergency is the use of the switch. The switch key is a large orange switch on the back of the Easycall 2. To use this, you program up to four phone numbers, a message and the volume of the alarm for emergencies. When the switch key is flicked to the up position, the Easycall 2 will sound its alarm and will also automatically send your programmed message to your preset numbers as well as calling those numbers.

Finding a Charger for Your Telstra EasyCall 2 (T203)

If you need to charge your Telstra EasyCall 2, you’re in luck, it uses a very common port. The phone takes a standard micro-USB charger and you don’t need anything fancy.

To power it up, just grab any 5V USB wall charge (the kind most phones use) and plug in a micro-USB cable. If your old cable is worn out, you can easily find a replacement at Campad Electronics. Even a computer’s USB port will work if you just need a quick top-up. Newer USB-C chargers will not work

Is the Telstra EasyCall 2 Still Supported?

The Telstra EasyCall 2 (also known as the ZTE T203) first launched in Australia back in May 2011. While there was no single official “discontinuation date,” Telstra gradually stopped selling it in stores and moved on to the next model. By mid-2013, it was replaced by the Telstra EasyCall 3 in most retail line-ups.

So while the phone is long out of production, getting a new charger or cable is still a simple, inexpensive task.
