Release date for the Galaxy S6, Samsung's flagship mobile phone: 10 April 2015. The Samsung Galaxy S6, along with the S6 Edge are Samung's flagship mobile phones for 2015. The S6 comes with an aluminium alloy frame and Gorilla Glass 4 on the front and back, giving the handset a true premium feel that has been missing on previous versions of the Samsung Galaxy. The new Samsung phones (S6 and S6 Edge) also come with wireless charging capability. The 16 megapixel rear camera on the phones' back has the same resolution as the Galaxy Note 4. The lens itself gets an upgrade over the Galaxy S5 and the S6 and S6 Edge are the second model of Samsung mobile phones to include optical image stabilization (the first was the Note 4 and Note Edge). The camera will automatically adjust white balance. The front camera is a 5 megapixel unit for wide-angle selfies and you can shoot a selfie by tapping the sensor on the back of the phone. The S6 has an improved fingerprint scanner which ties in with the Galaxy S6 being able to make mobile payments using Samsung Pay, which launches this summer in the US and South Korea.
