The iPad with Retina display or 4th Gen iPad was released on November 2, 2012. The fourth-generation iPad includes Retina display, the new Apple A6X chip, and the Lightning connector. The CPU and Graphics chips are twice as fast as the iPad 3. The 4th Gen ships with iOS 6.0, and has the same features as the iPad 3 but this fourth generation model is quicker in every way. Apple has increased the speed of Wi-Fi and cellular networks. It can act as a WiFi hotspot sharing its Internet connection over Wi-Fi. This iPad is now LTE compatible and will connect to Australian 4G mobile networks.

The iPad is not designed to make phone calls over a cellular network but can access data over cellular or mobile phone networks and the 4th Gen Ipad, iPad With Retina Display does support 4G in Australia.
